HOW TO PLAY?
ASSEMBLE YOUR TEAM
Questions and Answers
-
Escape London is one of London’s leading live escape room experiences, with immersive escape games across multiple London locations including Shepherd’s Bush, Whitechapel, Hammersmith, Islington and Leicester.
The challenge? You and your team will be locked inside a themed escape room and given 60 minutes to uncover clues, solve puzzles, crack codes and complete your mission before time runs out.
Whether you’re planning a fun day out in London, a birthday celebration, date night, family activity or corporate team-building event, our escape rooms are designed to challenge your brain, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Think you’ve got what it takes to escape?
-
Your full escape room experience lasts around 1.5 hours from start to finish.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your booking so you have time to check in, use the facilities and get settled before the game begins. Before entering the room, your Games Master will give you a short safety briefing and explain the rules of your chosen escape game. Once the door closes, the 60-minute countdown begins!
After your game, your Games Master will debrief your team and take a complimentary team photo, which will usually be uploaded later that same day.
-
Escape room prices vary depending on:
Group size
Peak or off-peak times
Selected venue and game
The best part? The more players you bring, the cheaper the price per person becomes.
-
Yes, all of our escape rooms are completely private games.
You will never be paired with strangers. Once you book a room, it is reserved exclusively for you and your team.
-
You can book your escape room online through our website by selecting your preferred location, game and available time slot.
Looking for a last-minute booking? Give us a quick call and we’ll happily check live availability for you.
-
Absolutely. Our escape rooms are designed for players of all experience levels and ages.
You don’t need any physical strength or previous experience — just teamwork, communication and a willingness to solve puzzles. Whether you’re visiting with friends, family, colleagues or first-time escapers, everyone can join the fun.
-
Yes. Our escape rooms do not involve heavy physical activity or intense physical exertion.
If you are pregnant, our Games Masters will make sure you feel comfortable throughout the experience. Every room also includes an emergency exit option should you need to step out at any time.
-
Item descriptionWe always do our best to accommodate players with mobility, hearing or accessibility requirements.
If you or someone in your team requires assistance, please contact us before your booking so we can prepare accordingly. Whether that means providing seating, adapting certain puzzles or helping with room access, we’ll do our best to make your experience enjoyable and inclusive.
Currently:
Hammersmith games are wheelchair accessible
Shepherd’s Bush, Islington and Whitechapel venues currently have limited wheelchair accessibility
Please contact us before booking so we can advise on the best room for your group.
-
Our escape rooms are suitable for players aged 9 and above, although younger players may sometimes join with supervision.
For children aged:
9–11: an adult or Games Master must accompany them inside the room
12–16: players may participate independently if an adult remains nearby
Escape rooms are fantastic for families, birthday parties and kids’ group activities in London.
-
No problem at all.
Whether you feel claustrophobic, need a quick break or simply need the loo, every escape room has an emergency exit option available. Just let your Games Master know beforehand and they’ll explain everything.
(Although escaping that way sadly does not count as a win.)
-
Item descriptionOur Games Masters monitor your progress throughout the game and can provide hints if needed.
So if your team gets completely stuck, don’t panic because a little teamwork, communication and maybe some dramatic pleading to the cameras might earn you some help
-
We ask players not to use phones or take photos/videos inside the rooms.
Partly to preserve the mystery and surprises… and partly because phone signal inside the rooms is usually pretty terrible anyway.
-
Wear anything comfortable that you can easily move around in.
We also recommend bringing your best puzzle-solving energy and maybe a backup outfit… just in case you fail to escape and decide to stay forever.
-
Nope. Just bring:
Yourself
Your teammates
A willingness to survive
We’ll take care of the rest.

Additional players can simply pay on arrival.

Each of our escape rooms offers a different theme, difficulty level and style of gameplay.
Some focus heavily on puzzles and logic, while others lean into immersion, storytelling and teamwork. If you’re unsure which escape room is best for your group, give us a call and we’ll help you choose the perfect game.
-
As a live experience business, we unfortunately cannot offer refunds. However, we’ll always do our best to help where possible.
If you contact us at least 72 hours before your booking, we can usually reschedule your game or provide a credit note for a future visit.
Changes made within 72 hours of your booking may incur a 50% rescheduling fee due to staffing and scheduling commitments.
-
Food and snacks are not allowed inside the escape rooms as they can interfere with gameplay and equipment.
However, soft drinks and water are available to purchase at the venue, and post-game food tastes even better after a successful escape.
-
We strongly recommend saving the drinks for after the game.
For safety reasons, players who appear heavily intoxicated may not be allowed to participate in the experience.
